IMD has advised farmers in West Bengal to continue transplanting of paddy nursery in areas utilising realised rainfall. Nursery of paddy is first developed in a plot and then transplanted in other fields for optimum yield. During Jun 1-Jul 16, the state received 16% below normal rainfall.
