IMD has advised farmers in Uttarakhand to continue sowing of basmati rice, maize and groundnut. It has also asked farmers to complete sowing of tur, onion and prepare land for sowing of urad, moong, and sesamum after a recent spell of rains. During Jun 1-Jul 16, Uttarakhand received 454.1 mm rainfall, 22% above normal.
