Masur prices were down due to weak demand from bulk buyers. The government has changed the import duty structure on Lentil from 11% to 0% for Canada and Australia while for the USA it has been reduced to 11%. Reduction in duty on Masur was expected as the price was not coming down in spite of the commencement of new arrivals in M.P.in limited quantity and higher area coverage this year.
