Sugar prices unchanged in north India, Mumbai markets shut.

Prices of sugar, which have been on the decline of late unchanged in markets in north India due to higher demand at lower prices. Prices have been falling since the beginning of the season in October due to expectation of higher production. For 2017-18 (Oct-Sep), Indian Sugar Mills Association has pegged sugar output at a record 29.5 mln tn, substantially higher than 20.2 mln tn produced last year.
