Prices of soybean fell in the international markets as the Brazilian currency real fell sharply against the US dollar following allegations. In Brazil, currency real plunged by 8%. The July soybean contract on CBOT ended down 31 cents at $9.4475 per bushel as the political concern in Brazil led the real currency to fall sharply.
