NCDEX coriander hits lower circuit on profit booking.

Coriander futures hit the 3% lower circuit as traders booked profits after contracts rise in the last three trading sessions. Prices had risen in earlier sessions on firm demand from exporters and low stocks with farmers. Further, rise in arrivals in spot markets during the day, and recent heavy rains in Rajasthan also weighed on futures contracts. Arrivals in the key market of Kota, Rajasthan, were at 5,500 bags (1 bag = 40 kg), against 4,500 bags on 22 July. Rajasthan has received 34% above normal rains at 212.1 mm so far this monsoon season, leading to better acreage and hopes of a good harvest.
