NCDEX chana down 1% on sluggish demand from millers

NCDEX chana fell because of sluggish demand from dal millers in key spot markets. Commencement of new crop arrivals in Akola, along with expectations of higher output, is also seen weighing on chana prices. About 200-300 (1 bag =50 kg) bags of chana is arriving in the Akola market and is likely to increase to 10,000-15,000 bags by February second week. Arrivals of chana in Delhi were estimated at 450 tn, up from 300 tn.
