Maharashtra government will use the NCDEX e-Markets Ltd platform to buy paddy from the open market and sell the commodity at subsidised rates. The move is aimed at curbing a sharp rise in retail prices of the grain. The state government expects to reduce transaction costs by choosing the NCDEX e-Markets platform over the traditional mode for distribution of paddy at subsidised rates.
