Government has approved 5.8 bln rupees for Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Marketing Federation to purchase pulses in the current year. To ensure that farmers get at least MSP in case of fall in prices in 2017-18. Under the Price Support Scheme, the ministry has also given a nod for procurement of 11,250 tn of urad and 55,500 tn of moong in the 2017 kharif season.
