Madhya Pradesh CM asked the Centre to start procurement of pulses through FCI in the state to support prices. Bumper production of the crops in the state has led to a fall in prices. Centre to procure pulses and coarse cereals at MSP in the state. Farmers in the state had resorted to a violent stir recently after a steep fall in crop prices. They relented later after the state government assured of loan waivers and procurement at MSP.
