Iraq’s state grains board has purchased 50,000 MT of hard wheat to be sourced from the United States in a tender which closed last week. The wheat purchased at $299 a tonne c & f free out. Wheat sourced from the United States had been offered at the lowest price in the tender, which closed on Oct. 16 with offers having to remain valid up to Oct. 22. The tender had sought wheat sourced only from the United States, Canada or Australia.
