International Coffee Organization has raised its estimate for global production of the commodity in the year ended September to 157.4 mln bags (1 bag = 60 kg) from the previous estimate of 153.9 mln bags. Global coffee production is estimated to have risen 3.4% on year, aided by a 5.3% on-year rise in production in Africa, 16.3% rise in Mexico and central America, and 8.6% rise in South America.
