Euro rally keeps EU wheat prices under pressure.

Paris wheat futures edged lower as a rally in the euro and rising supply estimates for the Black Sea region hurt the export outlook for west European wheat. Losses were limited by firm U.S. futures and chart support after Paris futures struck contract lows last week. Activity was subdued as some French traders attended a grain event in eastern France, while market participants awaited monthly U.S. government crop forecasts on Sept. 12. December milling wheat on the Paris-based Euronext exchange settled lower by 0.75 euro, or 0.5%, at 159.50 euros ($191.94) a tonne.
