CBOT corn futures closed lower in quiet technical selling and seasonal pressure as the U.S. harvest begins in the heart of the Midwest. As expected the government to report the U.S. corn harvest as 10 percent complete. USDA reported export inspections of U.S. corn in the latest week at 676,819 tonnes, below a range of trade expectations for 800,000 to 1.1 million tonnes.
