IMD’s Agrimet has recommended farmers in Andhra Pradesh to prepare nurseries of paddy saplings in the coastal region due to favourable weather. Andhra Pradesh is among the leading growers of the non-aromatic paddy in the country. During Jun 1-Jul 18, the state received 25% above-normal rainfall. Such a weather condition is good for paddy.
